We did do a WWKIP day (World Wide Knit in Public) event at the Rio Grande River park on Saturday. We had 9 knitters and 3 children! It was a lot of fun and we've decided to meet at a park one Saturday a month to knit.

I worked on some fingerless gloves that I'm test knitting. Hopefully I'll feel like knitting this week so I can get them done and get back on my Fire and Earth mitts.
Here's a couple pics Stef took at WWKIP day:

Snake mitts, finished!

Fire & Earth mitts:

I couldn't wait any more, so I cast on with my Secret Surprise Kool-Aid yarn. I really like how it's knitting up. I am going to have to frog part of my Sage Marigold, I'm a bit bummed, so I've set it aside until I'm in the mood to work on it again.

Looks like you all had a great time! Love all the FO's!
Good grief - 107 degrees? I can't even imagine what that would be like!
Your gloves look lovely - all of them!
It's hot. There's no humidity here so it's all heat! Last night at 8:45 it felt like walking into a sauna.
looks like a great day out!
